 BUS SERVICES

The Laboratory provides on-site shuttle bus service throughout its 200-acre facility, and off-site bus service from the UC Campus
and the Berkeley BART station at the corner of Center St and Shattuck Av
  • View route maps and schedules for the ON-SITE and OFF-SITE Shuttle Buses.

Off-site shuttle stops are marked with this sign:

  • When you see the shuttle bus approaching WAVE AT THE DRIVER so the driver knows you want to board the bus (shuttles share bus stops with other transit systems).
  • Berkeley Lab shuttle services are for official employee and guest use only. All employees are required to show ID when boarding the off-site buses. The following IDs are accepted: LBNL badge, UC Berkeley student and faculty ID badge, DOE badge, or UCOP badge.
  • Guests are required to bring a visitor bus pass, email or permission from their Lab host, written on department letterhead. See Site Access.
  • As you board, tell the driver the building number of your Laboratory destination. The driver will be able to assist you with directions.

Berkeley Lab shuttle buses operate Monday through Friday, except Laboratory holidays. There is no weekend service.

An express shuttle provides direct service to and from the Rockridge BART station during select commute hours.

Divisions wishing to arrange shuttle transportation for special visits, tours, or group travel may contact Bus Services at telephone number 510-486-4165 or email at busservices@lbl.gov.
