The Facilities Division supports the Laboratory Mission of national scientific leadership and technological innovation by delivering reliable and cost-effective services and infrastructure. We provide stewardship of the Laboratory's natural and built environment via cooperative teamwork and commitment to professionalism, quality, and safety.

The Director’s Philosophy of Safety

Safety is not a spectator sport.

Every individual, especially in Facilities, is accountable for safety at LNBL. Being held accountable gives you the right and responsibility to stop any unsafe practice anywhere: across functional boundaries, across the hall, within your own space.

Safety must be designed into all work assignments and projects - first and not as an afterthought!

We all want to work and live in a safe environment, and it is our responsibility to create and maintain this for the Lab.
